Alone in an alley, Louise hides from the world. The steel orb that once burned with life now rests frozen in her pocket, a reminder of how unforgiving life has been to her. With each person that passes by, Louise sinks further into despair until one man stops and demands to see her flame.
About Mike Diener
Born and raised in New Hampshire, Mike Diener now lives in South Carolina with his wife and two young children. He has spent the last twelve years as a public high school math teacher holding a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Mathematics Education and a Master’s degree in Gifted Education. Mike draws on his personal life experience and his time as a father as inspiration for his writing.
